Our commitment: gambling is entertainment, not income
Gambling should be a way to spend an hour, not a way to make money or to cope with debt, stress or boredom. Every game in our lobby is built on random outcomes and the house holds a mathematical edge over time. No system, pattern or strategy changes that. Over a long enough period most players lose more than they win, so the only sensible approach is to play with money you are comfortable losing.
Before you start, decide two things: how much you are willing to spend and how long you want to spend on it. Treat the figure the way you would treat the cost of any other evening out, and keep it separate from money you need for rent, bills, food or repayments. When the amount is gone, the session is over. Trying to win it back with a larger deposit is the most common way a disappointing hour turns into a serious problem.
Accounts with us are open only to people aged 18 or over. We hold a gaming licence for the Great Britain market and we check the identity, age and address of every customer, so you may be asked for documents before you deposit, play or withdraw. We also watch for patterns of play that suggest a customer is spending more than they can afford, and we may contact you, ask for more information or restrict an account where we have concerns.
The tools in your account and how to switch them on
Every safer gambling tool below is free to use, applies as soon as you confirm it, and sits in the responsible gaming section of your account. You never need to give us a reason for setting one, and setting one will not affect a pending withdrawal or a verified balance.
Deposit, loss and session limits
- Deposit limits cap the total you can pay in across a day, a week or a month. The cap counts the amount deposited, not the amount staked, and it applies across all payment methods on your account.
- Loss limits cap how much you can lose net of winnings over the period you choose, and stop play once you reach the figure you set.
- Session limits cap how long a single sitting can run. When the time is up we close the session and return you to the lobby.
- Stake limits, where offered in the cashier, cap the maximum you can wager on a single spin or hand.
Lowering or tightening a limit takes effect straight away. A request to raise or remove a limit is held for a cooling-off period before it applies, and you can cancel the request at any point while it is pending.
Reality checks
A reality check is a short on-screen message that interrupts play at an interval you choose. It tells you how long the session has run and what you have staked, won and lost. From the message you can carry on, look over your account history, or close the session.
Time-outs
A time-out closes your account to deposits and play for a short fixed period, chosen from the options shown in your account. We stop sending you marketing for the duration, and the account reopens on its own at the end. A time-out cannot be lifted early, so choose the length deliberately.
Self-exclusion
Self-exclusion is a longer and firmer commitment. It blocks all access to your account for at least the minimum period set out in the self-exclusion options, removes you from marketing, and prevents you from opening a new account with us. It cannot be reversed during that period, whatever the reason. When the period ends, the exclusion stays in place until you ask us to lift it and a further cooling-off period has passed.
Switching a tool on
- Sign in and open the responsible gaming section of your account.
- Choose the tool you want: deposit, loss or session limit, reality check, time-out or self-exclusion.
- Enter the amount or period and confirm. The screen will tell you when it takes effect.
- If you cannot sign in, use the live chat on the site or e-mail support@casinobilucky.co.uk from your registered address and we will apply the setting for you.
Signs that gambling may be becoming a problem
Difficulty with gambling rarely starts with a single large loss. It usually builds through habits that feel reasonable at the time. Go through the list below honestly.
- You gamble for longer or with larger stakes than you planned.
- You deposit again after a loss to win the money back.
- You gamble with money meant for bills, rent, food or repayments, or you borrow to play.
- You hide how much you play or lose from family, friends or a partner.
- You feel restless, irritable or low when you are not gambling.
- You gamble to escape worry, loneliness, boredom or low mood.
- Play is affecting your sleep, work, studies or relationships.
- You have promised yourself you will stop and have not managed to.
- You feel relief rather than enjoyment when a session ends.
If several of these sound familiar, set a time-out or a self-exclusion today and speak to one of the organisations below. Early help is far easier than late help, and nothing you tell those services comes back to us.
Where to get free, confidential help
We can apply limits and close accounts, but we are not a support service and we cannot give clinical or debt advice. The organisations below work with people across the United Kingdom at no charge.
- GambleAware provides clear information on gambling harm and signposts free treatment and support across England, Scotland and Wales.
- GamCare offers free counselling, group support and practical advice for anyone affected by their own or someone else's gambling.
- GamStop is the free national online self-exclusion scheme: one registration blocks your access to every gambling site licensed in Great Britain for the period you choose.
- The National Gambling Helpline, run by GamCare, gives confidential advice over the phone and by chat at any time of day, for gamblers and for the people around them.
If you would like us to apply a tool while you arrange support elsewhere, our team can do it immediately through the live chat or by e-mail to safergambling@casinobilucky.co.uk.
Protecting children and other adults in your household
Underage gambling is a criminal matter and we treat it as one. We check the age and identity of every new customer, we re-check where information changes, and we close any account we find to be held or used by someone under 18. Stakes are returned and winnings are withheld in line with our terms.
Shared devices are the usual route by which a child reaches a gambling site, so a few habits matter more than any single setting:
- Keep your username, password and payment details to yourself, and never let anyone else play on your account.
- Do not save card details or passwords in a browser that children use, and lock your phone, tablet and computer with a PIN, password or biometric lock.
- Install parental control or content filtering software on shared devices so gambling sites are blocked for other users.
- Log out fully when you finish a session rather than closing the window.
- Avoid playing where children can watch, so that gambling does not look like ordinary family entertainment.
If you believe someone under 18 has used your account, or that a vulnerable adult in your household is gambling with your details, contact us through the live chat or at support@casinobilucky.co.uk straight away. We will restrict the account while we look into it and advise you on the next steps.
